The Kiwi sprinter comes into the Commonwealth Games on the back of scintillating form, breaking her own national 100 metres record in reaching the semifinals at the World Champs in Oregon.

Coach James Mortimer says it's been a busy last couple of weeks for the athletes.

Zoe Hobbs races in the 100 metres heats at 11.15pm tonight.

Maddie Wesche is in women's shotput qualifying and the women's pole vault final features Olivia McTaggart and Imogen Ayris
