    Chris Luxon has explained his decision to have an independent investigation into Sam Uffindel


    The National leader stood down Uffindel after allegations of being an abusive flatmate at university emerged on Tuesday.

    They follow further allegations of him being expelled from King's College for bullying.

    Luxon told Newshub Nation he takes Tuesday's allegations very seriously.

    He says he would want that properly explored from the complainant's point of view, and that Uffindel deserves natural process in this.
