The Wellington Phoenix will boast some tall timber in their forward line in the upcoming A-League football season

The Wellington Phoenix will boast some tall timber in their forward line in the upcoming A-League football season

Coach Ufuk Talay's got his man, signing 1.92 metre tall Polish striker Oskar Zawada on a two-year contract.

Talay says he wanted someone like the 26-year-old, with none of his other attacking players troubling the old six foot mark.

The Phoenix's pre-season preparations continue tomorrow night in the Australia Cup quarterfinals... facing Sydney rivals Macarthur FC at Campbelltown Stadium.
