The SPCA's encouraging animal lovers all over the country to take part in 'Treat Week'

The charity's adapted its annual Cupcake Day appeal to a whole week, to include treats of the non-sugary variety.

The goal is for Kiwi's to sell homemade treats to their colleagues and friends to raise funds for SPCA.

Engagement General Manager, Sarah Cotter, believes it's a great chance to come together for a small act of kindness that will make a big difference to animals in need.

She says fundraiser's are vital to looking after the 30-thousand animals that go through the SPCA's doors each year.
