Car importers could be hit in the pocket -- as our dollar falls on the international stage

The NZ dollar has already fallen 19 percent in the past six months against the US dollar.
It's currently trading around 56 cents.
Motor Industry Association principal technical advisor, Mark Stockdale says it could have an impact on vehicle prices -- particularly those manufactured in the US.
He says it may not be straight away, because they may have forward currency cover in place that locks in an exchange rate value for several months.
