The Police Association isn't happy the man who killed Constable Matthew Hunt is appealing his sentence

Eli Epiha gunned down two unarmed police officers, killing one -- after fleeing a traffic stop in West Auckland in 2020.
He was sentenced to life in prison, with a 27-year non-parole period.
Police Association President Chris Cahill says he's disgusted and it's unnecessary to put Hunt's family and the other shot constable through this.
He says it adds to the fact he has no remorse for what he did and he should take his punishment for the offences he's been found guilty of.
