A housing expert is unsurprised to see The Block NZ's final auction flatline

This year's winners sold their house for one point 145 million dollars -- just four thousand above the reserve.
It's the smallest winning profit in the show's 10-year history.
CoreLogic Chief Property Economist, Kelvin Davidson says it's a reflection of the state of Auckland's property market state.
He says it's a combination of more challenges for buyers, more choice, higher mortgage rates, and tight credit rates.
