Former Auckland Covid MIQ facility, Stamford Plaza Hotel, has sold for 170 million dollars - believed to be New Zealand's priciest hotel transaction

Its Singaporean billionaire owner put the five-star hotel up for sale, alongside five other Kiwi and Australian properties.
JLL Real Estate's Nick Thompson sold the hotel - and says it's a record sale price for New Zealand, with the Grand Millennium the last to change hands for more than 100 million dollars, about 2006.
The deal is expected to be settled before Christmas.
