Wellington's recorded its first community transmission of the virus - with two cases.
Auckland also has seven more infections.
It brings New Zealand's total confirmed cases to 20, including active and recovered infections.
Anyone can get Monkeypox, but men who have sex with men are known to be at greater risk.
Testing for the virus is free -- with no consultation fees at GPs, primary health providers or sexual health clinics.
