    ASB Classic tournament director Nicolas Lamperin believes his latest signing is destined for tennis glory


    19-year-old Holger Rune is already ranked 27th and joins Casper Ruud and Cam Norrie as confirmed signings for the January event.

    Rune was a wildcard into qualifying for the 2020 edition and has since beaten the likes of Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas .

    He reached the quarter-finals at the French Open and won an ATP tournament at Munich.



    Pat Cummins will juggle Australia's test and one-day cricket captaincies roles after getting appointed as Aaron Finch's successor in the 50-over format.



    Former Major League short-stop Tzu-Wei Lin has signed with the Auckland Tuatara for the Australian Baseball League season.
