Liverpool manager charged with improper conduct after outburst at assistant referee

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been charged with improper conduct after his outburst at the assistant referee during his side's 1-nil Premier League football win against Manchester City

He could face a touchline ban if found guilty - he has until Friday to respond.

The incident came on a weekend where Merseyside Youth League games were postponed amid ongoing issues with whistleblower abuse.

The Football Association has also pinged Manchester United with failing to control players after they surrounded the referee during the nil-all draw with Newcastle - a fine is the likely outcome.
