A million passengers are predicted to make their way through the airport this month and next - marking the biggest summer its seen in two years.

Auckland and Wellington airport are also expecting thousands of passengers today.

The airport hosted a job fair in August in an attempt to fill more than 500 jobs.

He says they're generally in a good position, although there's still some pockets requiring staff.
