    A number of roads are still closed around the country after severe weather


    In Hawke's Bay, the Napier-Taupo and Napier-Taihape roads are closed as well as State Highway 2 between Wairoa and the Esk Valley and State Highway 38 between Lake Waikaremoana and Wairoa.

    State Highway 1 between Auckland and Northland is closed between Brynderwyn and Waipu because of large slips.

    SH1 in Northland is also closed at Mangamuka, and a number of other roads in Northland require caution because of flood damage.

    Between Glorit and Tauhoa, State Highway 16 is closed.

    In the Coromandel, State Highway 25A is closed until further notice and State Highway 25 is closed from Coromandel to Whitianga.

    On the East Coast, State Highway 35 remains closed between Te Puia Springs to Tolaga Bay and State Highway 2 is closed between Puha and Opotiki.
