    Former teammates of All Whites great Grant Turner recall his devastation at missing out on the chance to play at the pinnacle of football


    Turner's died aged 64 after a long battle with cancer.

    He was a major contributor to New Zealand's qualifying run for the 1982 World Cup - but agonisingly couldn't play in the tournament due to a last minute ankle injury.

    Former teammate Barry Pickering describes the moment.
