Commuters are warned to expect disruptions in Auckland's city centre this afternoon

Students, environmental activists and firefighters are protesting across New Zealand today, for School Strike for Climate.

Auckland Transport says the march will disrupt traffic from 3 to 6pm and bus delays and cancellations are expected.

A mix of one-way and full closures will be in place as the demonstrators pass through.

That includes around Customs Street, Queens Street, Albert Street, Fanshawe Street, Hobson Street and Nelson Street.
