Christchurch plane spotters are in for a treat today..

Emirates' Double-Decker Airbus A380 is returning to the city's runway.

This is the first time the international aircraft has been in Christchurch in three years.

Christchurch Airport is opening it's Plane-spotters' Park from midday for the aircraft's ETA of 1.55pm, and again at 5 for its 6'oclock departure.

The airport says this will be the best spot to witness the aircraft's landing.
