Experts warn lack of nutrients due to expensive grocery prices, could impact the IQs of unborn babies

In the wake of a cost of living crisis there's concern for pregnant women struggling to afford fruit and vegetables.
Stats NZ's food price index shows groceries went up 12.1 percent in the last 12 months - the highest lift since September 1989.
Canterbury University psychologist Julia Rucklidge says a study of mothers' low intake of fish shows damaging effects.
She says it's is a stark example of how a change of intake in food can have an impact on the overall IQ of the children born.
