    Flanker Shannon Frizell should be set to feature in the Highlanders lineup in a must-win Super Rugby match against the Blues on Friday


    The loose forward's suffered injuries of his own and been forced to switch to also cover lock during this season due to mounting other knocks.

    It's not clear if he's met his official All Blacks stand-down.

    Meanwhile second-rower Will Tucker is available for selection again after playing club rugby over the weekend, but midfielder Thomas Umaga-Jensen is out due to a calf niggle.

    Assistant coach Richard Whiffin gives an update on Sam Gilbert, who left the field against the Reds with what looked be a right wrist injury.
