Crashes and breakdowns are causing major delays, on key routes in Auckland and Wellington

Auckland's Southern Motorway is just re-opening southbound between Hill Road and Takanini, after a pedestrian died after being struck by a truck south of the Alfriston Road overbridge.

And in the capital, Glenmore Street -- a key route between western and central Wellington -- has been closed near the Kelburn Viaduct following an incident.
