Rookie Tall Blacks forward Walter Brown is taking everything in his stride in the lead-up to the Basketball World Cup starting on August 25

The 20-year-old is part of New Zealand's 14-man pre-tournament squad, which will be cut down to 12 near the end of the month.

Brown is absorbing as much information as he can from his teammates to ensure he's in with a real shout of making the final team.



The Tall Blacks meet Japan in a pre-World Cup warm-up in Tokyo tonight.
