The triple murder trial of Lauren Dickason looks likely to be extended further
3 August 2023
Dickason admits killing her daughters in Timaru in 2021, but is mounting a defence of insanity and infanticide.
The trial was originally set down for two weeks, but it's now in its third.
The Herald's Anna Leask says another three psychiatric experts will be called to give evidence on their analysis and assessment of Dickason.
She says given this, along with closing addresses from the Crown and defence - it's expected the trial will run for at least one more week.
