Two men have been charged after allegedly fleeing police and driving around Hamilton with a gun, ammo and knife, ramming police cars as they went

Inspector Neil Faulkner, says just after 11 last night, officers spotted a vehicle driving dangerously and a pursuit was initiated.

Police say the driver continued through multiple suburbs, and was spiked three times.

On the final time, a Police car blocked the vehicle and the driver fled on foot.

Police say a passenger was taken into custody after they presented a knife, while a dog unit tracked down the alleged driver.

A 19-year old man is due in the Hamilton District Court today, while a 23 year old man will appear in due course.
