Central Otago employers are already on the look out for staff for the busy summer months

Central Otago employers are already on the look out for staff for the busy summer months

The District Council is relaunching its Central Mahi campaign - promoting roles in the lower South Island.

The first step of the campaign is to get employers signed up and create videos to promote the website to job seekers from early October.

Mayor Tim Cadogan says last year's campaign had more than five thousand people engage with it online, in addition to those in person on campuses and job expos.

He says staff shortages affect the whole community and there are ways everyone can help find a solution.
