Passengers flying with Air New Zealand can now track their checked in luggage

The national carrier's launched a luggage-tracking feature accessible through its app.

Travellers on domestic and international services will get notifications of their bag's last recorded status.

It means customers can know when their bags arrive - or if they didn't make it on the plane.
