Police have launched a homicide investigation in Foxton, after a body was found in a house that went up in flames on Wednesday

Emergency services were called to Reeve Street in the early hours of the morning.

Police believe the circumstances of the man's death are suspicious.

Fire and Emergency noted the fire was small.

Police are now appealing for information -- and would like to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area on Wednesday morning.
