A sigh of relief for thousands of people who've had to boil drinking water for weeks

A sigh of relief for thousands of people who've had to boil drinking water for weeks

Queenstown Lakes District Council has lifted a boil water notice for parts of the town - for water from the Kelvin Heights plant.

That includes Frankton, Hanley's Farm, Quail Rise and Tucker Beach Road.

A boil water notice continues for multiple areas - including Queenstown's town centre, Fernhill and Sunshine Bay.

The resort town now has 61 confirmed cases of cryptosporidium infections.
