Former Manly NRL coach Des Hasler has taken the Sea Eagles to court for terminating his contract with a year remaining

Former Manly NRL coach Des Hasler has taken the Sea Eagles to court for terminating his contract with a year remaining

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Hasler was sacked by the club last October, with legal proceedings to begin on the 20th.

While in charge, he criticised the club for attempting to force players to wear a rainbow pride jersey.

Seven players abstained from the round 18 clash, citing religious beliefs.

Hasler has since signed a three-year deal with the Gold Coast Titans from next year.

The 62-year-old took the Bulldogs to court in 2017 after he was sacked with two years to go on his contract there.
