One week out from the election, and Winston Peters is eyeing up the kingmaker position again

Two consecutive polls have put ACT's numbers at single digits, meaning National will have to work with New Zealand First to get into government.

But a Taxpayers' Union-Curia poll has found 55 percent of New Zealanders, don't believe Peters' comments that he wouldn't work with Labour again.

Labour Leader Minister Chris Hipkins, says that should be enough motivation to sway voters.

He says New Zealanders are fed up with Winston Peters holding the country to ransom at election time.
