The party has set a target to double the value of exports within ten years - including making India a strategic priority for increased trade.
Leader Chris Luxon says the New Zealand fruit and vegetable market faces roughly double the tariffs exporting to India than Australia.
Apples and Pears chief executive Karen Morrish says if they're going to access such a big market, there must be exceptionally low tariffs - if any.
She says continuing in this direction with such high tariffs, is a major barrier for growers' profitability.
