    A high-profile Wellington bar owner is facing serious fraud charges


    Matt McLaughlin appeared in Wellington District Court on Monday - pleading NOT guilty to two charges of obtaining by deception over one thousand dollars.

    He also pleaded NOT guilty to two charges of breaching the Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators Act.

    His business, Hoff Hospitality Group, also faces the same charges.

    They're the parent company of Wellington CBD bars including Dirty Little Secret and Four Kings.
