    A former National Minister says one of a new Government's first jobs - needs to be culling dead-end projects


    National's set to rule with Act and NZ First as partners, with the Government's shape still being negotiated.

    Former Finance Minister Steven Joyce says a lot of money's caught up in initiatives around the country.

    He says many continuing projects -- like light rail in Auckland and Wellington -- need to be stopped immediately if they're not going to proceed.
