Police are staying close to Dunedin's Bayfield High School - as reassurance - after an emailed threat

Police are staying close to Dunedin's Bayfield High School - as reassurance - after an emailed threat

Armed police were called and the school went into lockdown - which has now lifted.

The Otago Daily Times says armed officers were deployed at every school entrance, with warnings played over loudspeakers.

The school says all students were kept in a safe place.

Police say nothing of concern has been found, but their staff will continue to patrol the area.
