    A homecoming to the far north has increased boxer Mea Motu's desire to become a role model to children in New Zealand


    She defends her IBO super bantamweight world title against Indian Chandni Mehra this evening in Whangarei.

    Motu wants to inspire her community in the mental health space.



    Tonight's card features Kiwi fighter Lani Daniels against Australian Desley Robinson for the vacant IBF light heavyweight title, while Jerome Pampellone takes on Mexican veteran Rogelio Medina in light heavyweight action.

    The card begins at 7pm.
