Travel is again topping the earnings list for service exports and and imports

Stats NZ says in the September quarter, travel imports brought in 1.96 billion dollars, and exports were at 2.48 billion.

That's up from 1.4 billion and 1.65 billion dollars respectively, on the year before.

International trade manager Alasdair Allen says travel imports' value has exceeded pre-Covid totals.

He says recent events like the FIFA Women's World Cup are likely to have helped boost earnings.
