A man will face sentencing next year after being found guilty of historical sexual offences at Gloriavale

A man will face sentencing next year after being found guilty of historical sexual offences at Gloriavale

The 58-year-old was found guilty yesterday in the Greymouth District Court of 11 charges against four out of five victims in his latest trial.

He'll learn his fate for these, as well as offending against a further five victims, in March.

Some abuse dates back to the 1980s.

Detective Senior Sergeant Kirsten Norton says it's a step in the mission of past and current Gloriavale members to ensure children there are safe from this kind of harm now and in future.
