    A Ben Shelton versus Gael Monfis ASB tennis Classic final is what tournament director Nicolas Lamperin desires following the release of the men's seeds


    21-year-old American Shelton is the top seed with Auckland-raised Brit Cam Norrie second and Frenchman Monfis a wild card, returning for the first time in a decade.

    23-year-old Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime - who rose as high as sixth in the world last year - is the sixth seed.

    Lamperin says they have a great mix of rising and established talent.



    Shelton lost in the semifinals of the US Open to Djokovic.

    Two wildcards are yet to be dished out - one will go to a Kiwi player.
