    Cost is the main motivator for people seeking dental treatment overseas


    That's the key finding of Otago University research.

    Co-author Karl Lyons says while many of the treatments received by New Zealanders overseas are of high standard, it's not always the case.

    He says it's vital for dental tourists to know the qualifications and experience of the dentist and the procedure.
