    Invercargill Mayor Nobby Clark will undergo a quadruple bypass heart surgery next week


    Deputy mayor Tom Campbell will continue leading the city during his recovery - expected to be a couple of months.

    Clark had a heart attack the day before yesterday. and was taken to Southland Hospital before being transferred to Dunedin Hospital for further tests.

    He'll remain in Dunedin Hospital for the surgery and immediate recovery.

    Campbell says Clark is chomping at the bit to get it over with, and be back on the road to recovery.
