    Arthur Fils hopes to take advantage of a exodus in experience at the ASB Tennis Classic


    The French 19-year-old ousted defending champion and compatriot Richard Gasquet in straight sets to advance to a second round fixture against Nuno Borges .

    Gasquet has joined Gael Monfils , Roberto Bautista Agut and Denis Shapovalov in the departure lounge.

    Fils says a number of players still present a challenge.



    Fils referring to messieurs Norrie, Shelton and Auger-Aliassime who are also in action today.
