New employment figures show employment is rising in healthcare

Stats NZ says the health workforce has increased 5.5 percent in the past year.

But Nurses Organisation Chief Executive, Paul Goulter , says it's only a drop in the bucket.

He says more must be done to address continued large shortages, and the health system is in a woeful state.
