Maori Development Minister Tama Potaka is praising today's National Unity Hui

Maori Development Minister Tama Potaka is praising today's National Unity Hui

At its peak 10 thousand people turned out at Turangawaewae Marae for the event.

Potaka says he saw people focus on unity and debating important issues.

He also acknowledged there was a feeling in communities that resources weren't being shared with Maori.

Potaka says he will tell the Prime Minister that it was a positive day focused on unity, and that there were constructive messages from Maori.
