It's standing room only at the Turangawaewae Marae for the Maori King's national Unity Hui

Iwi, community and public service representatives have gathered for the event.

Politicians there include the full Te Pati Maori caucus, members of Labour's Maori caucus and three Green party MPs.

The Kingi Tanga has reminded people about his expectations for the event - saying there's to be no protesting, flags or signs on the marae.
