Fourth seed Jannik Sinner has become the first Italian player to reach the Australian Open men's final after beating top seed Novak Djokovic in four sets.

Sinner has now beaten the Serb in three of their last four encounters.

The Italian explains part of the reason why he's had Djokovic's number, on Sky Sport.

Black Caps coach Gary Stead has explained why they've dropped veteran batter Henry Nicholls ahead of their two-test series against South Africa, starting Sunday week.

The Cantabrian's missed out on the 14-man squad, with Rachin Ravindra expected to bat at four following a breakout one-day World Cup.

Stead says Nicholls hasn't been scoring the way they would've hoped, and change is needed.

Stead hasn't closed the door on Nicholls returning in the future.

More concerns about the Melbourne Rebels' future in Super Rugby Pacific.

The Victorian franchise has entered voluntary administration - with their debts reportedly reaching more than $9 million dollars.

Rebels bosses met with financial advisors yesterday as they try to find a way to survive beyond this year.

The Roar reports Rebels players were told at a meeting last night that their contracts for the coming year would be honoured - but beyond that have made no promises.
