Michael Hill says installing assault glass in all its jewellery shops remains a priority after a smash and grab in Mount Manganui

Michael Hill says installing assault glass in all its jewellery shops remains a priority after a smash and grab in Mount Manganui

Police were called to shopping mall Bayfair about 3pm yesterday.

Video posted online shows masked offenders smashing glass cabinets.

The fog cannon was set off, and the offenders fled in a vehicle later found abandoned.

Michael Hill CEO Daniel Bracken says the armoured glass is one of many safety measures to protect staff and customers.
