It forecasts a 12 percent lift in the national crop on 2022 - a rebound from last year's weather-ravaged tally.
Export volume is estimated at 21.2 million boxes.
Horticulture NZ Chief Executive, Nadine Tunley, says it was a tough spring - and Hawke's Bay's summer has been more overcast than usual.
She says that can affect colour, impacting which markets fruit will go to -- but overall, everyone's pretty upbeat.
