    A search is set to continue for a person missing at Waikato's notorious Papanui Point, near Raglan


    Police say they were alerted to a report a person had fallen from the rocks into the water shortly after 1.30 on Monday afternoon.

    It comes after the Department of Conservation, Waikato District Council and Water Safety New Zealand urged people not to go fishing there six weeks ago.

    Statistics show 16 people have drowned at Papanui Point, and eight others on nearby beaches since 1980.
