Police are appealing for footage of the robbery of a Michael Hill store at Tauranga's Bayfair shopping complex last Saturday

Police are appealing for footage of the robbery of a Michael Hill store at Tauranga's Bayfair shopping complex last Saturday

Around 3pm that day six people arrived in a stolen vehicle, armed with weapons, and threatened staff and customers before stealing a large amount of jewellery.

Several members of the public approached the store hoping they could prevent the robbery, but had to flee to avoid being injured.

Police know many people have video recordings of the robbery or offenders and are asking those people to contact Police via 105 .
