The flight from Taipei on Friday night was diverted to the small US territory, due to an "electrical kind of smell", and had to wait until Saturday morning to fly out.
Air New Zealand spokesperson David Morgan, says engineers completed a full service where the smell was identified, and came up all clear.
He says the flight was initially diverted, as it couldn't be resolved in-flight.
