Consumer New Zealand says our biggest bank shouldn't have important emails falling through the cracks

The Banking Ombudsman sent a warning to the financial sector last March about the rise in fake term deposit schemes, but the ANZ missed it because it got caught in its spam filter.
The email also recommended banks provide additional warnings to customers.
Consumer NZ CEO Jon Duffy says he's surprised they didn't see it.
He says mistakes happen, but this scam has cost New Zealanders hundreds of thousands of dollars, so it's a serious matter.
