    Police want to hear from people with information on an incident outside a Wellington bowling alley - involving a weapon


    Police responded to reports of a person behaving in a threatening manner on Newtown's Hall Street, about 7:30 pm on Monday night.

    A gun was seized in relation to the incident.

    Children at Capital Gymnastics were placed into lockdown.

    A 21- year-old man was arrested, and has since been remanded in custody, facing charges relating to drugs and possessing a firearm.

    People on Hall Street near the Bowlarama carpark on Monday evening are urged to contact Police.
